We made our annual October fishing trip to Jameson and had the best fishing we have ever had in October. This was the first time we had come the first weekend and it was well worth it. The weather was awesome near 80 every day with no breeze except Friday morning. The only bad part about the wind, was I wasn't able to use my new American flag kite too much. It got a little chilly at night but not too bad. We trolled with pop gear, wedding ring and a worm the whole weekend and had the best success in the small lakes near Jack's Resort. By the end of the weekend very few were even trying in the big lake. Each time I went out I found a hot spot, with the best being right out in front of the trailer next to the channel and across from jacks by the cliffs. Sunday morning I averaged 5 fish an hour. Most were very small (6-8 inches), as usual in October, but I also had my share of 11-13 inchers. I would say overall I caught 15-20 in the 11+ range over the course of the weekend in a!
