Hit Crescent Sunday AM and was greeted with a beautiful morning. Hit the water about 6am and worked my way north from the public launch since the south end was packed with boats.
Started throwing a white topwater frog and caught 2 12-14" bass the first 30 minutes, slow gurgling retrieve through the reeds. The sun started breaking through the clouds about 7:30am so I switched to throwing a floating watermelon/red Zero and swimming it slowly through the pads.
Got into the north corner and had a massive wake underneath the Zero but no hit. Couldn't entice it to hit and a few minutes later saw it was a hawg, at least 6 pounds, but had a lot of sores around the eyes and back around the gills - looks like this one might have been grabbed by an eagle at some point but looks to be healing now.
Once the sun was out I switched to a tri-joint R2S shad and pitched around the docks on the east side of the lake, not even a bump. Had to head home around 11:30am so I trolled it across the lake back to the launch and caught 2 stocker trout off it. Also caught a slab of a crappie next to the dock by the launch on the same lure - definitely has some serious live action to entire a crappie to hit a bass lure :)
Didn't catch a lot but had a great time going and fishing a new lake. No photos - my phone died shortly after I hit the lake :(
