I went to stevens to try my luck at the kokes. Saw some fishing jumping and saw other boaters catch a few. Luck was not with me. I tried dodger and pink wedding ring tipped with fire corn and tried maggots as well. Used lead core line 1 to 2 colors out. I think next I will try on the surface when I see them jumping and get an earlier start.

fire corn is putzkes brand for trout and kokanee. I have used both out there on the lake. I have caught some on the yellow but nothing on the pinkish purple for th kokanee. It seems every time I put the kokanee pinkish color on I have no luck at all and all bite seems to stop. I would try using white shoepeg corn by green giant. Found most anywere I buy mine at safeway comes in an 11 oz can. I use a small silver dodger and a 12-16 inch leader tied to that as per RSEAS blog on kokanee fishing. I have had luck with a gold and silver wedding ring. Ive learned everything from what rseas has written on this sight. So I hope that helps. Oh I dont know much about lead line. I use 10lbs test on my level wind and let out about 1/4 to half the line out and long line it. My other rod I run 6lbs test and its on a spining real that I let out a lot if Im long lineing it or 20+ ft if Im using the downrigger. Im still learning. Tight lines

Yah I was using Pink fire corn yesterday just to try it out and I got 1 fish as soon as I put the gear down and no more bites for the rest of the day. Not going to be using it again, white shoepeg is the way to go!
