Went to Sacajawea with my trusty brown Roostertail and immediately saw fish rising. Looks like the State decided to feed the cormorants and osprey again. After about a dozen 6-8" browns (all released), and a bite on every cast I decided to throw on some bass gear and wander around a bit.

WIth a blue and chartreuse 1/8oz. spinnerbait pulling through some lilypads, I nailed a 15" rainbow with a huge belly...the thing looked like it had been at a hotdog eating contest (took a pic, but my camera is on the fritz and wont download)

Never did catch any bass, although I saw a bunch of 2-3" fish trailing my lure.

Went back to the spot where I was catching all the little trout and entertained myself with another dozen or so before calling it a day.

Most of the fish I have caught this spring have been at the Kessler Bridge. This time I guess it would be the east side of the bridge is where the fish were schooling. Just a 1/16oz roostertail retrieved as soon as it hit the water was all it took.

thankyou for the info, will try that for sure! my 4yr son is starting to think that fishing is just casting practice.
