Needed to make sure my boat wasnt leaking from the new install of the transducer. Got to the lake and main motor wont start. Managed to figure out the issue and hopefully it's fixed for good.

Anyways, 1st day out with my 1st baitcasting reel. Was throwing lipless cranks. Couldnt find the fishies in the shallow. Threw a jighead and grub too at some docks with no bites.

I put my new fishfinder to use. Was marking lots of fish. So I started trolling around for a bit. I put on a small kastmaster about 20 ft down.

I get a nice solid strike. Didnt release the clip though, so I grab it and jerked it out. I feel the fish. Feels bigger than the usual planter. Then it was gone. BAH

Trolled for a bit more and got another strike but missed the hookset. I saw lots of small fish jumping around here and there all over the place.

No fish landed. But at least my Humminbird works for the most part.
