On the way home from a tough day at Lake Shannon my partner and I pulled into Cav. for some Kokes. Trolled the usual Kokanee (red) Promise Keepers, and various wedding ring type spinners behind chrome flashers. I think Michaels flasher was chrome/blue. Michael lost his first fish about 6 minutes into the trip. The next one came 5 minutes later. After about 3 hours we left with 9 fish of a 10 fish (2 person limit) we released probably 3. Mostly kokes were caught, and the usual 2-3 skinny cutts. The fish seem for me to be getting smaller right now in Cav. One was 12", most were about 9". The last fish of night which came off was bigger, and had some fight to him.
Fish came from 25' in 50-60' of water. As usual the center of the lake works best for me. Also trolling the far side from launch, along the greenbelt area. As evening came the fish were at 8' on the d.r. I never do well from the first small island going West to the end of lake. I also never fish the far end past the launch, as this area is very weedy and only 10-15' deep.
No craws. this time either. 3-4 other boats.
