Winter arrived here in the Lake Chelan Valley. It is beautiful. The Lake Trout fishing has stabilized with 1 to 2 fish per hour being caught in the lower basin pulling flatfish and wide bodied spoons within 5 feet of the bottom in depths of 100 to 250 feet. Fish shallower early and deeper late.

The real news is Rufus Woods. It is pumping out jumbo Kokanee of 17" to 20". They jump and fight like crazy on light gear. An attractor in front of a baited spinner or fly is the ticket. They are from the surface down to 30'. To make it interesting, you can tie into giant Triploid Rainbow trout and native Rainbow trout as well using the same gear. Additionally, if fishing is slow on the top, try fishing the bottom in 50' to 100' with plugs for trophy walleye that are in their winter haunts.
