Well, it was another beautiful day in Paradise. We pounded the Bar early, then trolled over to Minneapolis then down and up the trench for a morning trip. Mike Strehlow was nice enough to bring his nephews along for me to tease. The craziest part of the morning was getting a 2.5 pound rainbow during the initial set up. After getting the first 3 lines deployed I set the port side outrigger rod back 100 feet with an F7 Luminous Chartreuse flatfish. I attached the 1 pound ball with a snap weight clip and flung it out to the side. Just after the ball hit the water and started to drag the flatfish down the Rainbow started to greyhound out the back of the boat. It was a nice exciting start to get the kids involved. Picked up the 7.3 pound big fish of the day on the same pass. What a great day to fish on Lake Chelan!
