Hit silver lake again for some trout action.Used worms and a bobber. Caught perch, rockbass and 3 trout.Normaly i keep the trout but this time i released them because they had nasty spots on them.Anybody knows why these trout have these nasty spots? Are they safe to eat? Tight lines.

who knows, lakes are always natural drainage points, think about all the oil and foreign substances on the road, when it rains the water sheet flows off the the road and down the slope, as a surveyor for 20 years ive seen too many drainage pipes that dump into the lakes or the wetland that goes to the lakes, so do what you want, but I havent eaten a lake fish since the early 80's.

Spots on the sides usually indicates a fungal infection.....you can eat it; but I wouldn't. My bro does all the time and he seems fine, lol.
