Quad and I started fishing at Green Lake. But after 3 hours of nothing going after our powerbait or worms, we decided to go after some bass in the ship canal, west of the Fremont bridge. The rain started coming down, but we did not care too much. Quad caught 2 small smallies there on cranks. Then we worked our way walking east along the canal. When we got under the Fremont bridge, we switched to wacky rigged plastic worms. He was using a big dark senko, and I was working smaller ones with wigglin pig tails. I don't have much experience using plastics, so really don't know what to call them. Anywho, I ended up catching one small one, and had another one on that I saw strike, hookup, but then it self-released.

We got pretty wet, but it was a great spontaneous Father's Day outing. Saw a group of other anglers working the canal on the other side. A festival was going on in Fremont, so we got to listen to some live music while we casted. Quad even got to enjoy some of my dance moves while I was casting!
