Hit the lake about 10am with my dad & launched the boat. Started heading south on the west side. We trolled a bit down the south end of the lake & I had gotten 2 hits with fish on about an hour after we started. We both have the 2-pole endorsement. I was fishing a black woolley bugger with a worm taster on one pole & the other a green wedding ring, also with worm trailing. The trout were hungry! My dad was using an olive/brown woolley bugger and also a wedding ring, again with worms trailing. I finally landed my first trout about 10:30 or so. We got rained on, drizzled on, misted on, dry for a short bit, then the rain started up again. We were on the lake about 3 hours all said & told and managed to both catch our limits of 5 each. The trout didn't seem to care what we threw at them, as long as there was a worm on the hooks! A couple of times we'd no sooner get the line in the water, then a fish would hit it! We even caught 2 at the same time. We also lost several that didn't stay hooked. We had a great time fishing together today. Happy Father's day! A day to remember for sure. We'll be back another day.
