Got the "go ahead" for Father's Day, so, despite the wet conditions, I paddled up to Beaver for a few hours. Started at 1pm. It rained most of the time, but there were some periods of dryness. Three guys coming off the lake who'd been there all morning trolling for trout with nothing to show for it. They were the only other boat on the water, so I had the lake to myself. I started using a 5" watermelon senko T-rigged weightless and picked up a pounder pretty quick. Got one more hit on that, but was slow, so alternated with a bass colored popper. Couldn't raise anything so moved up the lake. Picked up another pounder on the senko and tried various other gear, but could only get hits on the senko. Never did get anything else to the boat, but had a lot of (what I'm guessing were) dinks run with the thing, but couldn't hook up. Quit at 4pm with just the two dinks C&R'd. At least I got something.
