We got a late start and got to the lake around 1045-11. I would like to put out a special thanks to RSEAS advice about not using the concrete launch but go to the left of it. They need to fix that thing its all broken up with rebar sticking out everywhere. I got my fathers day gift all set up to go.... a lure jenson angle speed indicator and it worked great. It was nice to know how fast I was going. I dropped a crawfish pot and began to troll in 40-60ft of water just north of the launch. It was windy but once I got in the water it was good. I first trolled with no bait. After reading all the past reports I didnt feel I would need it. Oh I was going about 1-1.2 mph. After about 30min into it with no bite the wife had to use the restroom so back to shore we went. I speed up to 2mph and my rod on the downriger set to 20ft went off and I hook a small but nice looking cut which I released. Went back out and set one rigger to 20ft again and 2 others on top about 100ft out would be my guess. Used pink red and green. The second round used maggots and corn. I went from shallow to deep about 60-70ft and started getting hits but wouldn't stay on. Just a couple tugs than nothing. That went on until the end of the trip. I did get two nice ones to the boat well in the boat. We also got on perch which must have been lost in 70ft of water. Had to been in the top 10ft of water. I thought it was funny since Ive only caught those fishing the bottom. At the end of the trip around 230 we check our pot and had what I think was a burrbot. Forgot to get a pic. All in all it was a great trip. Forecast said rain and all we had was overcast and some wind. Just south of there all the way to snohomish it rained and Im glad I missed that. I cant wait to go at it again and explore the lake more. We had to leave early because we had movie tickets and the wife was getting cold. Tight lines

I've also experienced the picture issue. If you PM Mike, he will fix it. Thanks for the report. Curious to know if water skiers were an issue?

Dave Thanks for the tip. About the water skiers not an issue at all. The only boats I could see on the water were fishing. It was a little breezy and the wife said chilly. Also with over cast not really a skiers day.

Thanks, didn't want you to have to add a new trailer tire to your Fathers Day wish list. That ramp is a mess. Did you guys check out the park by the bottle neck? A great little park with hiking trails, a swim area, docks to tie up to and flush toilets. I think that we caught the same fish last time we fished Samish, the perch seem to be cookie cutter fish. Ours were hitting the peach colored spin-n-glows trolled as kokanee gear. Thanks for the report and I can't wait get back out on the water and generate a few reports of my own.

I agree with not wanting to add a new tire to the wish list. I didnt make it up to the bottle neck. It sounds real nice I will have to check it out the next time Im up. Maybe this weekend.
