Got on the lake around 8:00 this moring, headed to Little American, didn't have any luck. I cant for the life of me figure out why, the Shoreline looks so inviting. Headed to the Sunken island near the state boat ramp. drifted into the small cove, caught 2 small Rockbass. 10:30 I got a nice Solid Hit, I immediatly knew what it was, a nice Small Mouth, It ran for the top of the water, broke water twice, I reached down and pulled it on the boat (Landing nets are for cheaters) I Weighed and Measured it, It was a 3 pounder 17" I tried to get a picture of it with my son but he was terrified and the fish still had quite a bit of fight left. I took a picture and released... (yes I'm the guy that kept and killed the 8.5LB Largemouth, still havent gotten it back from the Taxidermist)
