Hit the lake @ 4:00p.m. fished until 8:00, things a bit slow but had a great time on the lake with the wife. Got one nice fat 12" Koke using a Pink/Green Wedding ring that I tied double whammy style, tipped it with corn, was using a purple/chrome UV dogger at 60'. Marked a lot of fish from 40' to 80', just couldn't entice them.
I also trailed an Apex out the back using 1-1/4oz wieght & a hammered brass dogger, I tipped it with both corn and a worm attached to both hooks. Was trolling east away from the ariator toward Purple Pennant in about 130' of water when the rod went down hard twice, something smashed the bait hard, took all the corn & the worm off both hooks, man I wish I had been holding that rod instead of having it the holder!
Any way great to be on the lake and the Koke was great on ceasar salad tonight.
