I got up early to try and beat the skiing at the lake. I was on the water by 6am. The lake was calm and air temperature was warm. I didn’t need a coat until a little later when it started to get windy around 8.
Last night I made 2 new squiddy things inspired by my king adventure yesterday. I caught 2 kokanee today on one of them. I guess they didn’t like my color combo on the other.
Caught 2 rainbows trolling. When it got to hard to steer in the wind I went and found some calm water by shore and threw worms for 2 perch and 1 small largemouth.
About 10:30 a speeding boat came out and started going around the lake so I trolled back to the launch. Fish and Wildlife enforcement was there to check out our dashboards for that yellow thing. At least I remembered to put it up this time. Some trucks didn’t. Not a bad time on the water BUT just can not compare to fighting kings, although I did get to bring 1 kokanee home.
