spent the whole weekend at the upper lake in conconully. we were mostly there for bass, and while we caught a whole lot of large mouth, they were all only in the 6-9 inch range, i did see a few lunkers in there, but could not get them to bite on anything i threw. so on the 2nd morning, i was tired of the littl bass, so i threw some powerbait on chucked it out at random and layed back to catch some morning sun. 5 minutes later, when i had almost forgot i was even fishing. my pole bounced twice and about flew out of the boat, the reel caught on the side of the boat, and i grabed it up. i knew it was big, it put up a good fight, and jumped 3 feet out of the water twice. its the one in the black and white photo., caught a few more that same day, all were real good sized. 15 inches plus and fat.

water is as high as its going to get from what i understand. we did most of our fishing on upper lake, at the far end, where it is pretty narrow. the trout there, fight and jump like crazy, bring your light gear for a super fun battle.

yeah we stay on the lower lake and it varies more by water level I think. last year the weeds got really bad on the upper lake though. thanks for the tip on the far end. You're talking oposite of the dam right?
