Went out to Stevens in the morning to do some kokanee fishing. Launched at 540am and had my lines down by 600am. Fished until roughly 9am. The weather was pretty crappy.... started off cloudy and cold and then the wind whipped up really good right around 730am, by 8am it was getting all white capped like usual out there. Fished my usual spot on the NE side of the aerator and marked a ton of fish. Caught 4 kokanee in 3 hours and lost a few others, all fish were taken from 40 - 51 feet and ranged in size from 12 - 14". The 51 foot rod got most of the attention. I ran dodgers and wedding rings and dodgers and hootchies all day with corn and worms. Hooked a fair amount of cutthroat, probably around 10 or so, which was a surprise to me. Kept one of the little guys that I had mortally wounded and the quality of the meat was pretty decent (orange, but not red). Also managed to catch a perch at 25 feet on the DR over 147 feet of water, this is my third suspended perch of the season caught on DRs while trolling! hah. Weird. I would have given the day a better rating if the weather hadn't been terrible. Overall a good day, the quality of meat from this lake's kokanee never ceases to amaze me.

Nice report Matt. Thanks.
Sure wish I could figure out how to wiggle my Hootchie to arouse some interest. I keep trying but can't seem to get hit on hootchies or wedding rings.
