I fished Deer from (3:45pm - 9:00pm) w/2 friends. We absolutely killed the Smallmouth's. We had a fish in the boat within 5 minutes of starting & the action was pretty consistent the rest of the evening. We landed (23) SMB but not one LMB? Most were dinks between (10" - 13") with (5) SMB over 2 lb (one almost 3 lb) & (1) 4lb 7oz Donkey! My buddy Howard caught the toad & had the best day of us overall. His top (5) would've put him in the $$ in most any tournament. Which is all the better seeing as he had never Bass fished until a month ago, & had never caught a fish on a artificial lure either. We caught em' on everything but the kitchen sink (hell it might've worked too.) Senko's,Jerry's Saturn worms, Salamanders, Jig n' Pig's, Countdown Rapala's, & Tube's. We caught em' fishing Texas & Carolina-rigs, Shakeyheads, & Dropshots. But "Dead Stickin" with a Salamander was the hot ticket today. The 4lb 7oz SMB was the highlight & low light of the day. Shortly after we released her she started flopping on the surface. I netted her & put her in the livewell to recuperate in the super oxygenated water. Two hours later when we were done for the night we re-released her but within a few minutes she was on the surface swimming sideways again. So i netted her once again & she went home with my buddy. It made me sick to have to harvest such a beautiful fish, but we did all we could. :( :( :( I've never not been able to C&R a Bass successfully, she wasn't bleeding & we got her right back into the lake after a quick photo. As soon as my friend emails the pics i'll post em'. **P.S. For those of you who don't already know "Beware of the Launch." **May You All Be Blessed With Bass Thumb** -William-

Thanks Jay K. I was out to Clear Lake (Spokane County) last weekend & saw hundreds of Bluegills swarming around the boat & gently taking surface flies. It made me think of you & your discount Parachute Adams : ) You would've had a blast!! Talked to one guy who was catching em' & he showed me (2) that were 10". I'd never seen Bluegills that big. If you go try fishing the west side rock cliffs all the way to the Eastern State Hospital dock in the NW cove. -William
