Finally caught some decent bass today. went out from 5 to dark, first few hours were pretty slow with a couple small ones, then i put a nice little soft plastic (secret) into a patch of lilly pads and when i set the hook i had my first bigger fish this season..unknown on the exact weight but we were guessing just shy of lbs. once it started gettin dark we went for some open water smallies, hooked into one first cast using a big spinner landing it at about 1 pound, Then my buddy throws a crankbait out and he hooks into a nice one! this thing came straight up and started jumping all over, looked to be a 4lbs smallie, i looked downw for a second and when i looked back up my buddys lure was at the boat but no fish lol, Big loss but he still managed to catch the smallie in the picture around 2lbs. Not much for consistant action but it was a great day
