Well wanted to go try baker again to see if my luck would change. Some friends and I headed that way by 430am and made it to shannon creek launch by 6am. We headed over to noisy creek put in gear and started fishing 2 on downriggers and with a small lead weight. There was a lot of boats out there and that made it hard to stay in the water you wanted. Seen a fish come out of the water at 55ft we were at that or just above. We tryed red, blue, green, and pink hooks. We had one take down on the rod with the lead weight south of noisy creek almost to the other creek mouth. It hit and fought hard but ended up breaking off 20lbs test leader. It was on one of those micro pink skirts. We fished until 4pm with not another bit even after most of the boats left. I thought all that pressure would push them deep so I ran down too 70-75ft with no luck. I watched an older couple in a small green boat hook one stop the boat to fight it and then get a double header getting both in the boat. At the end of the day we motored back up to noisy creek to pick up my crawfish pots to see what we had and nothing. After 10 hrs you would think there would be at least one in there. It was a fun trip the last time I was up I discoverd I had a hole in the front of my boat and my patch job worked. I was glad of that since with starting a new job I didnt get a chance until the night before to patch it. Now I will have to flip her over and glass her up good and do a good gel coat. I heard after we pulled out there trucking 3 trips a day moving fish. Better luck next time. Oh I want to add the last time out and this time we stopped at the Cascade drive in burger stop by the shell station at concret as per Rseas report. They do have some good food. They got one I think calld the cowboy with bacon fried onion and bbq sauce and the delux is good fry and onion rings. Thanks for the info on a good burger stop Rseas.

The crayfish are not like they use to be. about 12-15 years ago it was commercially fished for crayfish. And since then, very slim pickings. You can saw what you will, but they flat out raped that lake. Been fishing and camping at that lake for 30+ years.

I was there yesterday too! We were in the beige colored starcraft, 2 guys and 2 dogs with a net sticking up. We ended up doing well but fishing has greatly slowed since last week. We hooked SEVERAL that did not stick and had SEVERAL other takedowns that never hooked up. We ended up with 2 keepers before quitting. I will post the report soon, but am about to head out of town in 20 minutes to Twin Lakes in Ferry County. Thanks for the report.

I too recommend the Cascade Burgers in Concrete. Rseas got me "hooked" on the fine fare. I wonder how many of you noticed the "Hucleberry heaven" hard ice-cream? Makes my day after a trip to Baker Lake.

I was out in a light blue and white 16ft boat with two older guys. I was standing alot in the back stearing. I did notice the ice cream but I didint want to eat too much and get sleepy on the long trip home. Every year if I make it to idaho I go out with my grammy and pick huckleberrys which are awesome fresh.

I was there too that day. I was in my Starcraft with the red top. On at 6:10 am and no fish.
We were all for the most part going parallel with the shoreline and we were all just threading the needle as we passed in opposite directions.
That little green boat with the old couple you mentioned cut in front off everyone forced me into neutral and caught those two fish directly in front of me. Man that sucked, but She pulled a nice one and I did enjoy the view.

One the way out me and my buddy were feeling a bit down and on Hwy-20 missed being involved in that accident by 30 seconds or so and we both realized that was by far our luckiest day fishing.
