Wow what a great morning. I worked what has become a standard morning pattern for me. Early I try to make at least 2 and sometimes 4 passes over the Bar to get a big fish, then fade into the flat that is downlake of the Bar and end up in the trench to complete the 4 hour trip. We did 4 passes on the Bar and faded into the flat with 7 nice fish in the boat. This included a double and a triple! After two more hours work we had lost a few fish including one just out of net range and put 6 more fish in the boat. The Hefpty's of West Linn, OR had a great time. The boys learned that the way to resolve on board disagreements over who was next on a fish is best 3 out of 5 "Rock, Paper, Scissors". The Kingfisher Lites in glow and black/white UV on the downriggers were most productive, but again the little F7 purple glow flatfish on the outriggers produced the biggest fish. Staying within 10 feet of the bottom and trolling between 1.2 and 1.5 mph was again the ticket to bites...
