Fished Cd'A periodically throughout the weekend. Fished early Saturday morning
working the deeper dropoffs around Wolf Lodge Bay but no action on the pike scene
but did manage to catch a few little smallies. I then started working the very thick weed beds
and began seeing/catching a few small pike. I then pushed back a bit and began catching
slightly bigger ones on the outside edge of the weeds. Again,nothing real big.
We went off to Killarney and came back later in the evening,this time I only had about an hour
of daylight,so I decided to do the shore thing. I tossed a white fluted blade Ducktail
and hooked up with a really nice pike,he did 2 mini airshows,on the 2nd I watched in slow motion as he leaped out of the water,head shake and out comes the lure. Oh well,I'll get him next time. Went out Sunday morning for 2 hours but couldn't catch anything.
Can't wait to go back and hopefully bigger fish.
