The day started off slow. My wife was with me and was killing me. A photo is attached of her 2 lb 1 oz SMB. We fished points in about 20 ft of water. Later she got bored and went tot he park and sat in the shade and read her book. I went back out and hit a honey hole and boated 12 SMB in about 30 to 40 minutes ranging in size up to 2 1/2 lbs.

The lake was a zoo by 11am. The temp was in the 90's (hottest day of the year) The ski boats and Jetskis were driving me crazy so left at noon. Some of these idiots will run between where you are fishing and the shore. The cops were on the lake checking boats at the launch. They need to get out on the lake and ticket some of these idiots.

I feel your pain. This place is always a zoo. I make it a point to be off the water before 10:00 am. If it makes you feel any better, a couple weeks back I saw the sheriff boat write up about a dozen boaters for boating like idiots.
Take care

I'm with ya on that one! I'v never seen so many morons out on one lake as I did this weekend. People in ski boats would come dangerously close to you and look at you like you should roll over and play dead for them. Like YOU yield to ME cuz I got my kid on a wakeboard behind me and you better stay clear. I've got news for you bub. I fish by the Tapps Is. bridge occasionally, and I don't block the passage in any way shape or form and these weekend boaters come through there giving me dirty looks. I usually give them right back.

I almost snagged me a jet skier out there a few weeks ago. A couple of young girls on one coming up from behind me I didn't know they would be so close. I through out a heavy spinnerbait and came within about 5' of hooking them. They gave me a wider berth from then on. I am lucky to have tue/wed off so I don't usually have to put up with all the nonsence until 2 or 3pm and by them I am ready to call it quits anyway.

sounds like good day expect for PBA(power boat as%&%&#) as my brother used to call them from his sail boat on Lake Washington. But I tend to avoid those lakes with power boats because of that reason. I like to fish in evening more then am and this time of year get swimmers, horseback riders, people throwing balls to their dogs, people with remote boats and others who could care less about fisherman out there. Also only have 6 1/2 ft boat with no motor. Tried Big Lake by Mt Vernon and same thing you get swamped by power boats.
