Went for an evening of fishing at Silver Lake with my fishing partner Bluegouse Bill, in hopes of catching some LMBs in the dog days of summer. Imagine my suprise when I flipped a white spinnerbait at a dock, letting the bait fall and the reeling in fast. BAM, the SMB hit the lure, and I thought for sure it was a LMB (I have never caught a SMB on a spinnerbait), when I got it close to the boat it rolled, and I recognized it as a smallie. It weighed in at 5 lbs. I didnt realize there were that big of SMB in Silver. As a matter of fact, we have only caught 1 dink SMB at this lake. Of coures that was the highlight of the evening. In the pictures, I wanted to show the size comparrison of the same fish. The fish looks smaller with me cause Im a big guy.

The fish was released for some other lucky angler to catch. Great evening.
