Went out for a few hours to relax, and enjoy some warm weather. We have only fished this lake once before and gotten skunked. We still fished for about an hour or so with no real results, one bite on a worm and bobber. So....we rig up a wedding ring, tipped with a worm.. go around the edges of the lake.. nuttin. Wife is ready to leave... starting to rain a little... I plead my case, stating we haven't trolled the middle of the lake yet... start by the launch in the middle.. half way up... BAM!!!!! Get a huge bite.. set the hook...and the fight is on... 5 minutes later.. an 18.5 inch... 7lbs rainbow in the boat... (weight could have been more.. lame scale at home) Just an amazing fish... patience... sometimes I forget that part of fishing... One of the most beautiful fish I have ever seen. whooohooo.. one fish makes the day!
