Wow, first time ever got my limit! My net was at home staying dry so all fish had to be lifted into the boat. First time ever using corn and found that it works great. I had nightcrawlers on one hook and corn on the other and it was a toss up which worked best. I use snap weights 50/50 with 4 ounces.

So, back to my question................... What length were those kokes in the picture?
They look bigger than what I've been catching.
BTW- I just got my very first boat! An old SEARS 12' aluminum V hull . Hope it floats :-)
Plan on taking her to American tomorrow, Sunday morning.

The fish in the picture are 12-14 inches. I measured the bottom ot the sink they were in since they now have no tails or heads and sure do taste good smoked!!

12 to 14 inches are nice kokes in ANYONE'sboat, try Lake Cushman where a 10 incher is large(Size is related to available plankton in that particular lake, American must have a GREAT food source for these salmon). Great report, nice comments. Bob R

Hmmm. I think I'll try corn next time. Yesterday, Sunday 9/19, my brother and I only got 4 kokes in 3+ hours. We typically just use spoons like triple teezers. I can't complain too much because one koke was 16 1/2".(biggest kokanee I've ever caught I think)
But I think I'l try a wedding ring and corn to see if that helps. I'm just glad there's decent kokes to be had here at the end of Sept.
