Spent the whole week at the lake for my vacation. I hadn't been out in about a month, the lake changed quite a bit in a few weeks, the weeds are down and the water got cold. I was hoping to nail the perch like I had been last time I was out. Anyone know what to do or where to fish this time of year for perch, or should I just give up till summer and crack out the downriggers? By the looks of all the pictures, I should have been trolling...

water is cooling go to a small diamater line 2 to 4 lbs with a 3/8 weighted dropshot take it to 12 to 20 ft and wait for your bites live meal worms work great but dont stay on the hook long...Best of luck be patient there still there.

Actually the fish have moved into deeper water. Fish 30-40' deep. We have been getting alot of really impressive perch from American this year. Drop shot a robo worm in green or brown colors(I usally pinch off about an inch of the head of the worm), and you will get plenty of perch, and also have a shot at some monster small mouth.
