Well, we had to go back to Quinalt as the season is winding down but the best fishing is generally at this time of year. We caught 15 fish, including this great silver salmon(which we released after photo).I had been wondering when we would tie into one of the big salmon or steelhead returning from the ocean since we drag a lot of great looking spoons in front of them. This fish was chrome bright from the ocean, great on an ultra-light levelwind.Three fish were dollies, one being two or three lbs.the others were a mix of searun cuts and resident cuts, all in great shape. They were all hard fighting fish with lots of jumps, 1/2 dozen being in the 2 lb. range, best stringer yet this year, left at 2:30 P.M. as we had a lot of fish to clean, normally afternoon winds make it tough to fish, but we left a flat lake with fish still biting! We are getting ready to go to the Tanasket barter fair, a yearly event for us, lots of work getting photos ready.. Tight lines to all, Bob and Melanie

As always you keep churning out great reports from that lake. Nice job.

Do you have to hire a Quinalt guide to fish that lake?

You do not need to have a guide to fish the lake, just a tribal license and boat permit, $35 and $15 for them annually. A guide is needed to fish the lower river and the upper river is under national park regs Thanks for comments,.Bob R.
