Started fishing Smallmouth directly across from launch a little afer noon with carolina rig and a dropshot, but only got a few bites. Moved down the west side of lake fishing points from12 to 25 ft. still nothing. Just before we left, I decided to start fishing for largemouth. I figured the bass may have moved shollow due to the dingy water color, and was right. I started throwing a white spinnerbait around 4:00 and by 4:20 had four bass in the boat averaging around a pound a piece. all bass were caught with wood cover near by, and in shallow water. I should have fished for largies all day I bet I would have caught a ton. Sucks I had to leave at 4:30. Smallies can be very elusive on this lake, If i could do today over I would have started with lmb.
