Hit Newman for a couple hours w/Pat Perez on the 5th. After we launched we realized the camera was in the truck. Half joking I told Pat we're gonna catch a pig today (the last time we forgot the camera Pat caught a 6 lb 5 oz LMB). Well my prediction came true. Pat was throwing a spinnerbait in the lilies & caught a nice 3 lb LMB, after a bit of moving around with no luck we ended up at a spot we've never fished. I was drop shotting a 4'' senko & on my 3rd cast I hooked into a toad, as it came up head shaking violently we saw it was a big Largemouth. I fought it for a couple minutes, decreasing my drag from time to time so as not to be break my 8 lb fluorocarbon leader. Finally Pat netted it for me, it was my best LMB this season @6lb 4oz. A few minutes later as it was getting dark & cold I boated a nice 2 lb SMB on the same drop shot setup. We did take a few pics with our phone's, but my phone's pic wont download on this site. Hopefully Pat's phone will be compatable with this site. His Droid has way better resolution than mine.
