Its been a while since I have been since I wrote a report.

I went over to Offut around 9 and decided since my wife didnt come ill just fish from the dock. I went out to the left side of the dock and casted out towards the white shed as far as you can. I had about a four foot leader on a three way swivel and 3/4 oz sinker. I could really thow it out with that weight. I was using a green marshmellow and a little chunk of worm, then I added something i randomly picked up at BIG 5 in the "ITS SO CHEAP THAT IF YOU DONT BUY IT WE WILL USE IT FOR FIRE WOOD" bin. The stuff was called trout gravy. It was corn sented... In my opinion it smelled like bacon.

I caught a good bit of trout, only one small one. quite fun day. O yeah, you can drink on the dock, that was nice ;)

Oh yeah, more importanly...Nice collection of fish. My public service announcement..." Offut Lake Resort, Very nice place with great people. Take your kid there and rent a small cabin for dirt cheap. They have boats for rent, a dock, store with everything you need. Great way to spend time with your kid. Make points with your wife, as well. OK... down from my soap box! (-:
