Fishing was great!
Boated 11 in 3 hours, but the real story is beneath the surface. I got snagged on something out deep in the middle and it may not have been a log or a branch................. it may have been someone's ROOF!

In 1915 the town of Mocton flooded and buildings popped off their foundations, and some floated like corks into the lake.

Now that I know the history of this lake, fishing it will never be the same.

That was a great link that you posted. thanks. What was it that made you think you snagged a roof? Did you pull something up that indicated this, or what?

It just felt like a roof. :-)
It sure would be cool to scuba down.
Probably a fortune in fishing gear down thar.

You didn't catch a roof. I live minutes from the lake and I've seen it so low it is barely 30' across. What I do find is a wide assortment of flies and lures on all the old growth stumps.
