Had a few hours to kill, so launched the boat at Mill Bay and headed up to the Yacht Club area to try for some of the Big Lakers that hang out there. I trolled for a couple of hours, and had two hits on the green spatter back ace hi-fly. No hook-ups, so I went to the Mack Bar to try my luck. Dropped a Chartreuse Red head flatfish in 180 or so feet of water. Ran it close to bottom. Hooked up and landed a 5 pounder. Marked a few fish, but a slow day on the Lakers. It was a bit breezy at times, but really a nice day for this time of year. For me to get hits was a successful outing, and I got one for the gril. Better than a day at work anytime. LOL

Hey Thanks for the comments guys. The lakers keep eluding me, I guess I need to spend more time on the water. LOL. AND Jiggie, you may have to break down all those big words for me. LOL. Take care out there guys, and have some "safe" fun.

Thanks nickbell, The scenery was awesome. When I took this shot it was past sundown, and I had the lights on. The camera made auto adjustments and turned out a good pic. Stay safe and well

Nice looking Laker Lewis!! Do you remember the surface temp? And is Roses froze up yet? Are the Laker's better table fare out of the smoker than the BBQ? That picture did turn out nicely considering the challenging light conditions.

Thanks MotoBoat, I think the surface temp was mid 40s, there was a pretty good chop on the water and that sometimes can bring it up a degree or two. Roses still had open water about a week ago, and I haven't been over there since. It may take this upcoming cold snap to harden it up enough for fishing. We can always hope.
