Decided to try Lk Sam for the first time. Quite a drive from Tumwater, but well worth it. Got on the water about 7:30 and off about 2:30. Tried 2 rods on riggers and one topwater. Nothing from the downriggers. Started getting bites about 8:00. Missed my first two takedowns, but landed my 3rd. A bit of time between bites, but man they hit and fight hard. My brother landed his first and only about 11:45(18.5" cut, largest in pic). He also missed a few takedowns. Had a great time and will be back. Ended up w/ 4 cuts & 1 bow - 12" to 18.5". Give em no slack.......

Nicereport. What do you mean topwater.? How deep?
It was quite slow for me on Samm these last two mornings.
Was your action any better after noon, or was it pretty consistent throughout?

All fish were caught trolling top couple ft.(wed ring/sling blade/no weight) Averaged a bite every 20 - 30 min. consistently. Pretty sure I`ll be back on Wed..
