1/18/2011 9:31:00 PMYou are spot on Loui..These were definitely bigger than the average for Trench Fish..There is more of the Bigger fish starting to show in the Trench because of the Schools of Koks that are showing in the Lower Basin..I am not sure that this is a good sign or a bad sign..What I have seen in the past when there were numbers of Koks showing this early in the year in the lower Lake, proved to be a good up coming spring time Kokanee Fishery but what has me worried is the size of the koks that I am seeing..They are really Small!!! In the past when the Koks showed in the lower lake this early, they were really nice Koks 10 to 12 inch average..This year they are not even close to that..There is a lot of Koks in the Lower Basin...More than I have ever seen this early in the year..Keeping my fingers crossed that I am wrong but I have my reserves..
