There are fish here but I didn't do so well. The airator in the middle of the lake keeps the ice at bay. I headed out towards that hole and started to drill, a great big "POW!" I stopped drilling! LOL I backed away from the middle in a hurry..... I couldn't even muster up a bite in over a dozen holes I drilled, my partner did catch a couple, he stayed right at the access area of the lake while I jumped all over the place. Some "one handed" E. European showed up and walked right close to the edge of the big open area in the middle of the lake, casted into the big hole and caught one trout immediately. He did struggle in getting his setup out of the hole he was casting into. (hook was getting stuck on the ice edge) It was spooky to watch! My hat is off to that guy. If a guy drug a small boat out there, to the open water, maybe it would work out ok. I just don't think I'll go back to this lake again with out a boat during some an open water year, that hole, created by the airator just gave me the creeps.
