Well we were unsure how the Ice was on the lake since last weekend it looked pretty sketch, but there was a good 5.5" of ice. By the end of the day the sun beat up the top inch or so of ice ane was pretty easy to scrape off. When we got on the lake this morning there were a bunch of cracks in the ice along the shole line and when we finished around 4 there was a open crack about 2" wide. Not sure if we are going to try it next weekend or not. Fishing was ok at best. We were watching around at other people and everybody seemed to have about 5 to 10 fish on the ice, however we did watch one guy probaly catch 100 fish. Seemed like he couldn't keep them off the lines. We ended up taking home 19 perch between four of us. I think we threw back about 15. All in all not a bad day. We will return tomorrow which has a good possibility of being the last weekend of ice fishing on Fish Lake.
