Last minute decision to go shed hunting and fishing after the race. Went along Long Lake, made some stops for sheds, nothing.Drove down to little falls dam to try for walleye.Wasn't there long, no follows,no bites. Saw a fish surface downsteam so took my Shadrap to the area and on my second cast my rod doubled over and the drag peeled out! I imediately thought I had a nice walleye on but quickly realized it was a rainbow when he [or rather she] jumped two feet out of the water ,twice! Strong fish! Very firm meat to. Went 21 inches.By the way I thought most deer had shed their antlers by now, I saw 5 or 6 mulie bucks all 3points or so with 20 does, they definetly weren't in velet, ant thoughts? Sorry no photos.

I have seen Bucks carrying antlers into April. I currently have anterless bucks on my trailcams.
The Bucks with heavier antlers do seem to loose them first. Most sheds are off by March.
Congrats on the Rainbow.
