Well, with the weather front moving in, it was challenging to say the least. Mike Flotrie of Ferndale and fishing partner Traci Todd of Blaine were nice enough to come fish with us. With a stiff uplake wind, air temps in the 20's, heavy snow and surface water temps in the upper 30's it was definitely a day to bait fish. They motored to the lower set of net pens and fished power bait off the bottom. The early part of the day made bites hard to read with the weather chasing the anglers into the enclosure to stay warm and the boat moving quite a bit. They perservered and got their fish. Big fish was 7 pounds. At the end the weather cleared and calmed to make the ride back to the launch very pleasant. Can't wait for this cold front to lift...
