Seems like that cliff/little bay area you can walk to should be able to hold some fish at this time of the year with it being about 30 feet deep and all. I might go there or head up to Moses Lake this weekend for some perch/crappie fishing.

You're right about heading to Moses Lake. Traditionally the perch spawn the first week of March and one hotspot is just north of the I-90 bridge. Sometimes it's best just northwest of the bridge, sometimes just northeast. There will be lots of boats out fishing for them so just follow along. I use an Acme Fiord jig tipped with worm jigged off the bottom. When you catch a dink, switch to perch meat or eyes.

3/1/2011 11:54:00 PMYes, I fished many different areas on the lake, actually 2 different days also. I walked in on the point north of the park facing the boat launch and the bays to the south, as well as a few others. I didnt have as much as a hit. I know all about the potholes and moses for perch. I am from Soap Lake and have fished all my life. I have some great holes for most species around eastern WA. I fish for small stuff like perch and pikeminnow up to bigger fish like steelhead and sturgeon. I do pretty well when the weather cooperates. When the barometer turns off the fish I have less luck. 3/4/2011 1:19:00 PMYeah I got lazy today and didn't wake up until 11, probably going to try Moses tomorrow, hopefully the dang bridge isn't full of people when I get there.
