Man... All I can say is Captain Hook is right. Buena pond is on Fire right now. Took my pup "Doc" with me with the aim of launching my John boat on I 82 Pond # 6 ( A.k.a- Buena pond) That place is on fire for catching fish. Two guys using kastmasters and rooster tails limited in about 15 minutes. I ended up with 5 trout off the bank in a matter of 10 casts! Using my "Jigmiester special" skirt jig, I caught (C+R 8 fish) &13 total trout in about 45 mins of fishing. I also hooked a big, dark colored 16" 3 lb.smallmouth bass this time on a 3" grub, Picked her up on the exact spot where I caught my other big Largemouth over the past week. This fish was a pig, stout and gave me a spirtited run and jump display for everyone to see, Doc proceeded to attempt to "fetch" my smallie by jumping in the water after it! It 's kind funny watching him lift his front paw and go on "Point" whenever I hook a fish... (If shotguns were legal)... Lol. Anyway guys, keep your casts shallow and Buena Pond will make your day.
