I had the chance to hook up and fish pond # 4 on the I-82 ponds with Wa lakes member TjHester from Kennewick today. The weather was pretty squirrely but we still gave it a shot. I met Tj on the dock and we proceeded down lake to do a little trolling with homemade wedding ring spinners, but it was a slow go of it for the first hour or so. I asked Tj if he had ever tried jigs for trout and he said he'd like to try it. So we anchored up 20 or so yards from the dock. I got a fish on the first cast and after I set Tj up with a smaller jig, he caught a jumbo perch. For the next two hours in a light drizzle,we caught 18 trout-(C+R'd all the trout) and 9 big perch by keying an outside weed edge in about 10 feet of water. Tj had to leave around 3:30, but I managed to add another 4 perch and a bass to my total. Pammy and I just finished a nice dinner of deep fried perch filets and corn on the cob. Man what a way to end the day! Tj made the trip a blast and my hats off to him for driving up to fish with me. Jiggy
