Went out Saturday evening to one of the best early spring fishing lake, Medical Lake.
I was fishing a bloodworm size 10 under a fly suspension device near the dock and around the north shoreline. The fish were stacked in there like chord wood in about 6' of water.

Had a great time, caught approx 10 fish in less then 3 hours, tigers and browns all about the size you see in the picture..

What made the evening even better was calling the fish and game on some poachers and watching them cry as they were ticketed..

Poachers beware,, don't mess with Medical Lake.

Fantastic evening...

bionic_one,, they were fishing with bait and power bait grubs,, a clear no no at Medical.. This is a selective gear fishery. single barbless hooks, no bait or anything with a scent..

Interesting - I'd never fished the dock before. Looks like you had a great run that day. Did your kids get any action?

Hello Jay, took my youngest son out on Sunday during a snow storm and a freezing wind. he caught 2 good size tigers on a gold and silver kastmaster.

thank you for the tips,, since I fish with a fly and not hardware..

Good job, Kevin! Glad to hear you've figured that lake out. With me gone, be my eyes and ears and keep after those poachers! I bet they're lining up on the cliffs again this year.....as usual.
