6 months 29 days 8 hours and umteen minutes. It seems like its been the longest period between hookups for me ever and I'm not sure if I can blame La' Nina but I was ready to. Actually I can, wind, rain, snow, and more cold will keep me indoors, I'm a fair weather fisherman to the core lately. An hour earlier it looked like I wasn't even going to get a chance to even get to Greenlake due to all the traffic heading downtown but last minute traffic adjustments and bammm I got my wife to her appointment and off to Greenlake where I went for my 42 minutes of I might be able to fish thing.

I started off tossing out whatever lures I had dragged to the lake and like Ballinger the day before I had trailers but no takers. Switched to Power eggs just as a school went by lighting up 4 of the other 7 rods on the little dock. I missed out on that run and much like the little kid nearby I needed to be sent to timeout land.

I eventually would catch 2, plant size fish nothing special, but the jinx is off finally. The fish at Greenlake sure do hit harder than the fish at Ballinger and Bitter (where I had hits last week but no results from).
