Went to the launch in Taipan Park it was all above water, no problem for me though I had my pontoon raft, water being so far down makes the area easier, not as much water to cover. Started straight out from launch caught two rainbows about 14" so I thought should of took a closer look cause the kokes I caught later also looked similiar to the rainbows, my fault for not taking a closer look. Started to move towards bridge noticed some being caught so thought I would give it a pass or two, don't know what they were using for bait, just know they had to pull them up 30' or more since the level is way low. Only had a couple of taps no takers by the bridge so moved back down by the launch, by the sand bar and the only log sticking up towards that side had multi hook ups brought four to the net, kept only two, others to small. Had some hitting right next to me on the reel in, through back out they start to take it go to set the hook and just feel a tug but no fish, it was all fun though, except the wind, played havoc on me just about all day, was sailing more than anything so made me get some exercise rowing back upwind. Felt like a bobber going down current but being blown up current, can't wait till levels go up and the fish bite better at least that is my observation. Later, tight lines and pack out what you pack in unlike alot of salmon fisherman on the rivers who think they are all that, you only are if you don't litter and in God's eyes if you do litter I hope he puts some kind of curse, or ju ju on your but.

Yeah it looked a little tough out there on your cataraft. The better half and I were a couple of the people fishing from shore. She drew first blood with a 11" coho, then later on I got a 13" from the bridge.C+R'd hers, I gave mine to a G-dad + G-son also fishing from the bridge. Nice to see the fish getting plenty to eat again. Haven't fished Riffe for a couple years, as the last couple times there the coho were all very skinny. Tight Lines!

No Kokanee (Landlocked Sockeye) in Riffe...they are Landlocked Coho. And yes, how in the heck can someone in their right mind litter in such a prestige setting? The rest of us are not your personal garbage men.
