I hit up lake Samammish with fellow WALAKER Pika26. We launched at about 2:00 fished until 6:15pm. Started off with a quick swing by the mouth of the Issaquah creek. Nothing happening.
Hit the gas to up lake towards the weather buoy (sp?) Wouldn't you know it... but my motor went into the same spazmotic fit that occured a few trips ago back in Jan on the lake. This time I just rode it out all the way up lake going only 6 mph. I knew that my gas was not that old, but I had also just put in a dose of fuel stabalizer the night before. I did not mix it,, just 1 oz. into the tank. I'm not sure what to think... maybe the stuff hit the motor without being mixed and my motor didn't like it.
Back to fishing.... after 1/2 hour of running slow, the motor function was back to normal.
We trolled in the mid lake area, mostly the East side, but 1 trip down the West side. I was fishing about 25' depth on the ball, using a silver kwickfish. I had a fish on at one point, put he came unbuttoned do to a mishap on my part. Fished mostly at depth range of 10-25' in 80' of water. Water temp was 44 deg. Some rain, some wind, some other boats (maybe 5)
I did hook up and boat a 14" cutt. later in the day from the same kwikfish. The fishing was def. slow, but two hookups felt good.

Sorry to hear about your motor issues Quad. That stinks. Hope it was an isolated event this time. We must have crossed paths at the boat launch as my I was there with my family utilizing the East Lake Sammamish Trail. We left just after 2pm. Looks like you got out just as the rain hit. Glad you got something to show for it.

Yeah Quad, sorry to hear about the boat. How about going human-powered on Bitter Lake sometime? It's been lighting up lately on the fly!

EAmon_hoffman123, I was in a Lund Aluminum 14', merc.outboard. If you are talking about a late 80's model Bayliner that was a two-tone blue. I saw that boat. I used to own the same boat. At least it was called a Bayliner Capri, looked nearly the same.
