Beautiful day with mainly calm water on Rattlesnake. Surface water temperature was 48 degrees. The water was very high and clear. Two of us caught 10-12 fish averaging 9". Two fish were a fat 15" and 16" and faught well. Lots of tail bites, too many to count. Trolled and casted with sink tip and intermediate sink lines using brown buggers with crystal flash. Brown and olive were the best colors. Even had one fish take a dry, but didn't hook it. When the lake was calm, fish were sporatically rising. Best luck 200-300 yds out in front of the boat launch. once the water temp gets up, this should be a lot better.

Sounds just like my experience there last Sunday.

I've always wanted to try this lake. Quadfather says you really know your fly fishing stuff. Any pointers on how, where and what kind of fly to cast when fishing for risers? I seem to spook them every time.

Small Parachute Adams, size 14,16 and 18. Try Grey or Tan body.
