I know of three locations on Rock this winter where the extreme rains and freeze/thaw cycle has taken a toll. Most of the time the cliff caves off, leaving a super loud noise, sometimes waves, and a new scar on the cliffs. A friend of mine was with me when we heard one and saw the rock dust and water mist. Fortunately it was a mile or so away when it happened.

4/24/2011 9:46:00 PMi hadn't thought of that it is possible. didnt pay alot of attention to the cliffs i was busy checking it out and around the new rock. gratefull it was calm which as you know is rare. we were in 200 ft of water range though??/peralps a pillar busted of and went down like a tree straight down lol it could be at rock.
