Swofford is still slow for bass. I have been out there every week for the past 3 weeks. Bass are a no show in the shallows what so ever. I've been looking for them in suspended water but am still trying to pin point them. I did however see some crappie and bluegill in the shallow weeds swimming around. Trout are biting like crazy though. I caught my limit last week with a 4 1/2" gold shad rap while bass fishing. All 5 were 8-10" planters. Weird combo for trout but it works I guess. This week I had some follow my lure up but no massive hits. This coming weekend I think I'll give it a try again. I've found a bunch of hidden structures that I can't wait to hit once they start to make there way into the shallows.

Still waiting on that 10 pounder.

How shallow are you looking? I 'm finding them in 4-5 ft. on wood cover.

about the same depth. I always start the day of in my hot spots then move to the 4-5 feet of water where all the structure is. If I can't find them in that I try and work the weed edges where I know there are drop offs and underwater structures. Just no sign yet. They are being stubborn. I'll find them though.
